Banana Foster Upside-Down Cakes

Pillsbury™ Tubeset Muffin Batter makes it easy to prepare this delicious upside-down cake dessert.

Bananas, sliced in half then 2 1/2-inch pieces

Assembly
  1. Spray jumbo muffin tins generously with pan spray.
  2. Add 1 Tbsp melted butter and 1 Tbsp dark brown sugar in each muffin well; spread evenly to coat the bottom if necessary.
  3. Place 1 sliced banana piece, sliced side down, into each muffin well; pipe in approx. 4 oz thawed muffin batter until 2/3 full.
  4. Bake as directed until cakes spring back when gently touched.

*Rotate pans baked in convection oven one-half turn (180°) after 7 minutes of baking.
Finishing
  1. Allow cakes to cool in pan approx. 2 minutes.
  2. Run a palette knife around edges of pan to loosen; flip over on parchment-lined sheet pan.
  3. Rearrange banana slice as needed and pour remaining caramel sauce over top; serve warm.

  • Serve warm cake with a drizzle of caramel sauce, a smear of rum-spiked whipped cream and a scoop of ice cream if desired. Note nutrition information will change.
