Baked bismarcks -- jelly-filled doughnuts -- are simplified deliciously when they start with frozen biscuits.

Strawberry jam, seedless, stirred smooth

1 1/4 cups
Granulated sugar

2 cups
Cinnamon, ground
1 1/2 tsp
Butter, unsalted, melted

Prep
  1. Place jam in piping bag; set aside.
  2. Mix sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl; set aside.
  3. Place melted butter in a separate bowl.
Finishing
  1. Bake biscuits as directed on package.; remove from oven and dip hot biscuit into melted butter, coating all sides.
  2. Transfer to cinnamon and sugar mixture, heavily coating all sides.
  3. Poke rounded handle of wooden spoon into side of biscuit, going two-thirds of the way through.
  4. Pipe 1 Tbsp jam into hole and serve warm.
