THE BISKIES RECIPE CONTEST OFFICIAL RULES
The Biskies Recipe Contest (“Contest”) is sponsored by General Mills Sales (“General Mills” or “Sponsor”), Number One General Mills Boulevard, Minneapolis, MN 55426.
WHAT IS THE CONTEST?
Create an original, unique recipe (appetizer, entrée, or dessert) using any Pillsbury™ biscuit product (full product list in Schedule A) and at least 2 other ingredients and post or upload a photo of your completed dish (“Entry”) as further described in these Official Rules. The top 4 recipes as determined by a judging panel and public vote will win prize money awarded to the commercial restaurant operation as defined below (“Restaurant”) on behalf of which the entrant submits their Entry. The Contest begins at 12:00 a.m. Central Time (CST) on Feb. 1, 2024 and ends at 11:59 p.m. CST on Mar. 31, 2024 (“Contest Period”). All Entries must be submitted by Mar. 31, 2024, to be eligible.
WHAT CAN I WIN?
Grand Prize: One (1) grand prize winner will receive $20,000 (awarded as a check to the Restaurant).
Recipe Category Prizes: Three (3) winners will receive $5,000 (awarded as a check to the Restaurant.) One (1) winner will be chosen from each of the following recipe categories (“Recipe Categories”): appetizer, entrée, and dessert. The final determination of whether an Entry qualifies as an appetizer, entrée, or dessert will be decided by the Judges.
Total value of all prizes: $35,000. No more than the stated number of prizes will be awarded. Prize awards are subject to verification of eligibility and compliance with these Official Rules. All federal, state and local taxes and any other costs and expenses associated with the prize acceptance not specified herein as being provided are the sole responsibility of the winner. General Mills reserves the right to substitute a prize (or portion thereof) with one of comparable or greater value in its sole discretion. Limit of one (1) prize per Restaurant/entrant. Prizes are awarded “as is” without any warranty or guarantee, either express or implied by General Mills. Prizes are non-assignable and non-transferable and cannot be substituted except at the sole discretion of General Mills. All prize details are at the sole discretion of General Mills. General Mills reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to modify, cancel or suspend part or all of this Contest. The Contest is void where prohibited or otherwise regulated. All federal, state and local laws apply.
WHO CAN ENTER?
You are eligible to enter if you are 18 years of age or older as of Jan. 31, 2024, and are a Restaurant chef, owner, or employee and are a legal United States resident residing in one of the 50 United States or the District of Columbia at the time of Contest entry. By entering this Contest, you are entering on behalf of your employer, the Restaurant. The Contest is open to valid Foodservice and Convenience Store Restaurant Operations as defined below.
A commercial restaurant operation is defined as a restaurant owned and operated by an individual, family, group of people, business or corporation and includes commercial food truck operations. Commercial food truck operation is defined as a mobile vehicle equipped to cook and sell food that is owned and operated by an individual, family or group of people, business or corporation. A commercial kitchen may be used for food prep.

HOW DO I ENTER?
You can enter during the Contest Period on our website at https://www.generalmillscf.com/industries/restaurant/support-tool-categories/trends-news/the-biskies-contest or via Facebook or Instagram as follows:
Limit: One (1) Entry per person per category throughout the Contest Period for a total of three (3) Entries per person. Any additional Entries received from any person or email account beyond the first three (3) Entries received will be void and will be disqualified. Limit one (1) prize per Entry/Restaurant.
Use of automated processes and devices, script, macro or any other means which subvert the entry process are not permitted and all such entries will be void. Only Entries submitted via one of the 3 methods identified above will be accepted. Entries submitted via any other method, including but not limited to U.S. Postal Service, facsimile or other express delivery services, will NOT be accepted. If the Contest Site fails for any reason any Entry received during that time will be deemed a defective Entry.
Entry Requirements:
Entry must be the original work of the entrant, may not have been previously published, may not have won previous awards, and must not infringe upon the copyrights, trademarks, rights of privacy, publicity or other intellectual property or other rights of any person or entity.
By submitting an Entry, entrant acknowledges and agrees that Sponsor may obtain many Entries in connection with this Contest and/or other contests staged and/or promoted by the Sponsor, and that such Entries may be similar or identical in theme, idea, format or other respects to other Entries submitted in connection with this Contest and/or other contests sponsored by the Sponsor or submitted for other reasons or other materials developed by the Sponsor on its own. Entrant waives any and all claims entrant may have had, may have, and/or may have in the future, that any Entry and/or other works accepted, reviewed and/or used by the entrant may be similar to his/her Entry, or that any compensation is due to entrant in connection with such Entry or other works used by Sponsor.
By submitting an Entry, entrant hereby grants permission for the Entry to be posted on Facebook and Instagram and in other online and offline media designated by Sponsor without any limitations or restrictions. Entrant agrees that Released Parties (as defined below) are not responsible for any unauthorized use of Entries by third parties. Released Parties do not guarantee the posting of any Entry and reserve the right to remove any posted Entry at any time or for any reason whatsoever. Entrants agree that they will not use the Entry for any other purpose, including, without limitation, posting the Entry to any online social media networks, without the express written consent of Sponsor in each instance.
By submitting an Entry, each entrant agrees Sponsor shall own the Entry submitted (including the copyright thereto and all rights embodied therein) and that it and its designees may exploit, edit, modify, and distribute the Entry and all elements of such Entry, including, without limitation, the names and likenesses of any persons or locations embodied therein, in any and all media now known or hereafter devised, worldwide, in perpetuity without compensation, permission or notification to entrant or any third party.
By participating, each entrant agrees that his/her Entry complies with these Official Rules and that Sponsor and the judges’ decisions shall be final and legally binding in all matters relating to the Contest. Sponsor or judges, in their sole discretion, may disqualify an Entry for any reason, including if they determine, in their sole discretion, that the Entry fails to confirm to these Official Rules in any way or otherwise contains unacceptable content as they determine in their sole discretion.
The actual, physical Entry shall become the sole property of General Mills upon receipt and will not be acknowledged or returned.
CAUTION – ANY ATTEMPT BY AN ENTRANT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE THE WEBSITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE CONTEST MAY BE IN VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS. SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK ANDY AND ALL AVAILABLE REMEDIES FROM ANY SUCH ENTRANT TO THE FULLEST EXTENT OF THE LAW, INCLUDING CRIMINAL PROSECUTION.
HOW WILL ENTRIES BE JUDGED?
All Entries must meet the Contest requirements and comply with these Official Rules to be eligible. Entries must be the original recipe of the entrant.
Judging Phase: Following the Contest Period, all eligible entries received will be judged by the Chefs of the Mills (“Judges”) based on the following criteria (“Judging Criteria”):
The four (4) Entries with the highest scores from the Judges: one (1) Entry for each of the three (3) Recipe Categories (as determined by the Judges) and one (1) Entry with the overall top score from the Judges will be deemed a finalist (each, a “Finalist”). In the event of a tie, the Finalist among the tied potential Finalists with the highest score from the Judges for the “Originality” judging criteria will be declared a Finalist. Sponsor reserves the right to choose fewer potential Finalists if, in its sole discretion, it does not receive a sufficient number of eligible and qualified Entries.
Judges will disqualify previously published recipes, such as but not limited to those in cookbooks, in magazines, online, from food companies, and winners in recipe contests, unless the recipe features changes considered significant by the judges in their sole and absolute discretion. Finalists will be required to certify, on information or belief, that their recipes are their original creation and have not been published or publicized and have not been recognized as a winner in a recipe contest. Judges reserve the right to change recipe names, edit, adapt or modify entries as they deem appropriate. Decisions of the judges are final in all matters relating to this contest.
Voting Phase:
The four (4) Finalists’ Entries will be placed online at the contest website for public voting to choose the Grand-Prize winner following the Judging phase at https://www.generalmillscf.com/industries/restaurant/support-tool-categories/trends-news/the-biskies-contest from April 10, 2024 at 12:00 a.m. CST to April 30, 2024 at 11:59 p.m. CST (the “Voting Period”). During the Voting Period, consumers who are 18 years of age or older as of Jan. 31, 2024 and are residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia, will be able to vote for their favorite of four (4) pre-selected recipes as chosen by the Judges from the three (3) Recipe Categories. Judging should be done based on the judging criteria above. Limit one vote per person during the Voting Period. The one (1) Finalist with the highest number of total votes overall during the Voting Period will be awarded the Grand Prize. The three (3) Recipe Category Finalist will be awarded the Runner-Up Prizes. In the event of a tie between two or more of the Finalist total votes, the Finalist recipe receiving the most points in the Judging Criteria will be designated the winner of the tie.
The Grand Prize winner and each of the three (3) Runner-Up winners will be notified of their prize-winning status via the email provided in the entry form or via direct messaging on the social media application on which he/she entered on approximately May 17, 2024. Prize awards are subject to verification of eligibility and compliance with these Official Rules. A potential winner must be able to provide proof that he/she is eligible to be deemed an official winner to Sponsor and/or Administrator’s satisfaction before being declared an official winner (“Official Winner”).
In the event that a potential winner is disqualified for any reason, fails or refuses to claim his or her prize for any reason, or a prize is unclaimed, the prize will be forfeited and Sponsor will select an alternate winner by applying the judging criteria above. Prizes will be awarded "as is" with no warranty or guarantee, either express or implied offered by Sponsor.
General Conditions: General Mills, its promotional and advertising agencies, and any other organizations affiliated with the sponsorship, fulfillment, administration, prize support of the Contest, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotional agencies, and prize suppliers, and each of their respective successors, representatives and assigns (collectively, “Released Parties”) shall have no liability and shall be held harmless for any damage, loss or liability to any person or property, due in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, be reason of the acceptance, use or misuse of the prize or participation in this Contest. Released Parties are no responsible for lost, late, delayed, destroyed, misdirected, garbled, incomplete, inaccurate, stolen or otherwise undeliverable Entries or registrations that cannot be processed due to phone, network, electronic or computer hardware or software failure, or technical failures of any kind, whether caused by Released Parties, entrants, or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Contest or by any technical or human error which may occur in the processing of Entries or registrations, the announcement of prizes, or which may damage a user’s system or limit an entrant’s ability to participate in the Contest. Released Parties are not responsible for any changes, effect or damages caused to the entrant’s computer system as a result of participation in the Contest. General Mills reserves the right at its sole discretion to disqualify any individual that tampers or attempts to tamper with the entry process or the operation of the Contest or website or violates the Official Rules. General Mills reserves the right in its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Contest should virus, bugs, non-authorized human intervention, fraud or other causes corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness or proper conduct of the Contest. In the even of such cancellation or termination, General Mills reserves the right to determine the potential winner from among all eligible, non-suspect Entries received prior to such action using the Judging Criteria detailed herein. In the event of a dispute regarding Entries received from multiple users having the same email account, the authorized subscriber of the email account at the time of entry will be deemed to be the entrant and must comply with these Official Rules. Authorized account subscriber is the natural person who is assigned the email address by the Internet Service Provider (ISP), on-line service provider, or other organization responsible for assigning email addresses. Winners, by acceptance of the prize, except where legally prohibited, grants permission for Sponsor and its designees to use his/her name, address, photograph, voice and/or other likeness and prize information for advertising, trade and promotional purposes in all media now known or hereafter discovered, worldwide in perpetuity, without further compensation or notification to, or permission from entrant or any other third party.
Disputes: All issues and disputes regarding any aspect of this Contest, including, but not limited to the construction, interpretation and enforceability of these official rules, shall be governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota, without regard to principles of conflicts of laws. All suits and claims shall be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction situation in Minneapolis, Minnesota. General Mills reserves the right to cancel this Contest at its sole discretion.
