Butter, unsalted

Maple syrup

  1. Spray large mixing bowl with cooking spray.
  2. Add cereal and 1 lb marshmallows to mixing bowl. Set aside.
  3. Heat butter and maple syrup in heavy-bottom large saucepan over medium heat until butter is melted, stirring constantly.
  4. Add 4 lb marshmallows. Stir until marshmallows have melted and mixture is smooth.
  5. Remove from heat. Allow to cool slightly.
  6. Pour syrup mixture over cereal, and mix well to coat.
  7. Press mixture into greased full sheet pan (place a piece of parchment paper on top of mixture and press with rolling pin to assist).
  8. Cool at room temperature approx. 1 hour before portioning.
