MINNEAPOLIS (Dec. 18, 2018)—Five lucky schools nationwide are winners of a new breakfast cart thanks to the K-12 Grab ‘n Go Sweepstakes from General Mills Foodservice with partners HUBERT® Education and Undeniably Dairy. The portable carts, customized with each school’s logo, will be used to serve students breakfast and snacks in areas outside of the school cafeteria—a growing need among today’s schools.
“Many school foodservice professionals have told us that a mobile cart would greatly aid their efforts to increase participation with busy, on-the-go students who may not have time to get to the cafeteria,” said Alyca Judge, senior marketing manager for General Mills Foodservice. “General Mills is happy to award the sweepstake’s grand prize winners with grab ‘n go carts to give them a convenient way to get healthy breakfast items and snacks to more students.”
The breakfast carts come with customizable bin markers, magnets to feature different food items and a chalkboard magnet for written messages and specials. The five winners include:
- New London Spicer School District; New London, Minnesota
- Brandywine School District; Wilmington, Delaware
- Ash Grove R-IV School District; Ash Grove, Missouri
- Stillwater School District; Stillwater, Oklahoma
- Arendell Parrott Academy; Kingston, Carolina
The K-12 Grab ‘n Go Sweepstakes called on K-12 foodservice operators to complete a short survey for a chance to win a HUBERT® Grab ‘n Go cart. All entries also received free social media tips to use to promote their own feeding programs among their school community.
