Ale, honey and sharp cheddar combine for a trio of flavors in this hearty biscuit.

Dough
  1. Combine ale and honey in mixing bowl then add biscuit mix and garlic powder.
  2. Stir approx. 30 strokes or until soft dough is formed; fold in cheddar cheese. DO NOT OVERMIX.
  3. Divide dough equally between 2 well-greased half sheet pans; spread evenly to edges and precut in a 6x8 pattern with a greased bench knife.
Topping
  1. Whisk together melted butter and honey; drizzle evenly over top of dough.
  2. Bake as directed below or until golden brown; cut through warm biscuits and serve.
