This beignet is a twist on this Louisiana classic that adds dual texture to the finish; crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside.

  1. Thaw croissants covered either at room temperature for 1 hour, or refrigerated overnight.
Finishing
  1. Drop thawed croissants into fryer oil preheated to 350°F; flip after 3-4 minutes.
  2. Fry an additional 3-7 minutes, turning occasionally, or until cooked through and deep golden brown.
  3. Remove from oil, allow to drain and toss in powdered sugar.
  4. Serve 4 pieces immediately.

  • For variety, toss beignets in your favorite seasonings like cinnamon and sugar, or serve with your favorite dipping sauces like Buffalo Hot Sauce for extra spice.
