Pepper jam adds an unexpected twist on the traditional poppy seed Kolache, made easier using Pillsbury™ Southern Style Biscuit dough.

Raspberry pepper jam, prepared

Prep
  1. Thaw biscuits, covered, 15-30 minutes at room temperature until flexible or overnight refrigerated.
Streusel
  1. Combine sugar, flour and cinnamon in medium mixing bowl; add melted butter and stir until crumbly.
  2. Set aside until needed.
Assembly
  1. Place thawed biscuits on parchment-lined sheet pan; make thumbprint in each biscuit to create a deep well, approx. 1 1/2-inch in diameter.
  2. Whisk egg and water in small bowl; brush tops of biscuits with egg wash.
  3. Sprinkle evenly with poppy seeds; fill each thumbprint with approx. 1 Tbsp (0.6 oz) jam.
  4. Top each with 1/2 Tbsp (0.15 oz) streusel; bake as directed below and serve warm.
